9 Steps
Want to make specific rows editable in your Excel worksheet while keeping others protected? This guide shows you how to easily unlock them. By default, all cells (and thus rows) are "locked" when sheet protection is active. To unlock a row, first select the entire row(s) you wish to make editable. Then, right-click, choose "Format Cells," go to the "Protection" tab, and uncheck the "Locked" box. Remember, these rows will only become editable once you then apply "Protect Sheet" from the "Review" tab, ensuring flexibility while maintaining overall sheet security.
